iPHONE WAITING . . . RESPOND . . . PLEASE

Always, we are in some various state of waiting, but never so much as the tech age has laid upon us. We wait for:

Text responses

Twitter @ replies / comments to carry on the least little hint of a virtual "conversation"

Facebook status updates and notifications to whatever it was we said or responses to a photograph we posted

Email to us from people we actually know

and so

. . . the weight of the wait . . . ticks by
as we keep checking. . . just to see. . .
that mostly, no one gives a crap!

by Leigh Alexander

"...the Internet - fast becoming the primary method by which we interact with others and consume information - might be changing us."

I was relieved to read about this phenomenon, as i have felt a lot of these "Internet emotions" at various times. It's an interesting and yet hilarious bit on the underlying psychology of social media.
